The Historic Chief Theater fosters relationships with valued Community Partners. During the Paul Bunyan Playhouse's off-season, we host performances and events not only from touring shows, but from other fine and performing arts organizations from around Bemidji. This creates a ripple effect throughout the community, helping to foster love for the arts and provide unforgettable experiences. We welcome the opportunity to partner with new groups who share our outlook.

BEMIDJI COMMUNITY THEATER

BCT is a legally chartered, non-profit organization of about 50 members who enjoy various aspects of theater production. Auditions are open to everyone, and membership does not affect who is cast. The theater season usually includes three shows varying from comedies to mysteries to tragedies to children's theater.  BCT prides itself in encouraging local people to produce theater for the local community. New members are always welcome whether they choose to do only one show or be active for the next 30 years.

SAARENS PRODUCTIONS

Saarens Productions is operated by co-producers Steve Saari and DeeJay Arens. They manage both the Wild Rose Theater and the Fleur de Lis art gallery housed in the historic Masonic Temple building at 501 Bemidji Avenue North in downtown Bemidji, MN. Saarens Productions’ primary focus is live theatre (including performances of original works) and independent film-making, but all disciplines are welcomed under its banner.

KG ENTERTAINMENT

Managed by local director/producer Greg Gasman, KG Entertainment is best known for producing the community favorite, Out of the Hat, a theatrical experience in which writers, directors, and actors converge on a Friday evening and have exactly 24 hours to pull together an original play based on a prop, a setting, the first line of the play, and the actors and actresses who will perform in that play – all criteria that are literally drawn out of hats.

FIRST CITY DANCE STUDIO

The First City Dance Studio is a teaching studio whose mission is to teach a comprehensive and professional level of instruction focused on proper dance techniques in a fun and safe environment.
