FACILITY RENTAL

The Historic Chief Theater has an unobstructed seating capacity of 315 and is available for rent September through May. Since leaving its movie house days behind and becoming the home for the Paul Bunyan Playhouse, the stage has also become a familiar midsize venue for theatrical productions, concerts, performing arts presentations, anniversary celebrations and even weddings! If your group or organization is searching for a place to hold a meeting, workshop, recital, program, concert or other production, the Historic Chief Theater could be just the place.If you are interested in speaking with someone about renting the Chief, please contact the Chief's Box Office at #218-751-7270 or email at [email protected]. STAGE FACILITIES
The Chief has a proscenium stage, 40' wide by 30' deep, with an additional 10' behind the curtain. Generally speaking, the backstage area is unavailable. However, minor accommodations could potentially be made, depending on need.

DRESSING ROOMS
The Chief is equipped with two dressing room facilities, a green room/lounge, and private bathroom space. Due to its former identity as a movie theater, these spaces are located underneath the building, connected by steps, and adjacent to the theater proper in a former storefront attached to the theater.

PROMOTION
There are display cases available for posters advertising the event, as well as marquee space. Events held at the Chief are also advertised online at thechieftheater.com.

STAFF 
Technical personnel are available for a fee of $20 per hour. A house manager must be present during events at a fee of $12 per hour.
