BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Holly Ward, President (she/her)
Holly earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of Minnesota and is finishing a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Holly taught special education and served as the musical director at Bemidji High School for many years. Currently, Holly is an the Director of Learner Support Services for Thief River Falls Public Schools. Holly’s work in the fields of music, theatre, and education fuel commitment to her personal equity journey and her work to create more equitable education and artistic experiences. Cory Renbarger, Board Member (he/him) Dr. Cory J. Renbarger joined the faculty at BSU in 2012. He holds degrees from The University of Minnesota, The Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, and Concordia College. Cory has extensive performing credentials throughout the United States. During the 2009-2010 season, Dr. Renbarger also served as the official anthem singer of the Minnesota Wild hockey franchise. Besides his duties with opera theater, Dr. Renbarger also serves as the coordinator of vocal performance studies and teaches pedagogy, diction, song literature, and opera studies. |
Cailey Birchem, Board Member & Designer (she/her)
Cailey is currently a candidate in the Master of Fine Arts program at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She obtained her Bachelor of Science with a triple emphasis in Graphic Design, Exhibit Design, and Studio Arts from Bemidji State University in 2020. Cailey works with many hats, but most find common ground in design — digital, print, and experience for her freelance company. Forrest Ross, Secretary Tanner Garrigan, Board Member (he/him) Jordan Lindquist , Board Member/Off-Season Booking (he/him) Jordan Lindquist has been the off-season technical and house manager since 2013. He joined the board in 2019. Jordan has a long history in the music industry both on-stage and behind the scenes. He is currently spearheading the expansion of entertainment at The Historic Chief Theatre throughout the entire year. Jordan Mann, Board Member (she/her) Jordan Mann is a Junior at Augsburg College and is studying Theatre with an Acting Emphasis. She lived in the Bemidji area from her Freshman year in high school in 2015 until her senior year in 2019. Jordan was in many musical productions throughout her years in high school. In Shrek the Musical she was a Fairytale Creature, in Anything Goes she was one of Reno Sweeney’s Angels (Virtue), in The Hunchback of Notre Dame she was part of the Congregation, finally, her senior year she was in Seussical as a Bird Girl, during the summer before her senior year she was in the production of Hairspray as Cindy Watkins at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse. Jordan then continued her work at Viterbo University with short plays, Winner as Tori Walker and Elephant’s Graveyard as The Hungry Townsperson. Jordan wishes to finish her BFA in Acting and pursue a career in theatre and use the skills she learned to promote social justice and equality. |
